One
Smart Way To Get An Interview
Write a thorough report for each
business you are interested in working for. It should be very
professional and address the business group’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. It should also be filled with statistics and other information the hiring
manager would likely like to know. Tailor it to the respective jobs
you want, but it should be well researched and look professional.
Think like a big marketing plan, business plan and strategic business report and you will have the right
idea. If you need further help here, I suggest going to the public library and checking out a few
books on business plans and these types of reports.
After the report is completed,
you should put it on quality paper and have it bound with an effective, professional cover. Don't go cheap
here. You want it to really look good so add in graphics and other bells and whistles to
make it look top shelf.
Then, after the report is
completed, you should find out the mailing information of the hiring managers and send this
information. To get this information, you will need to make calls
and ask who is in charge of what and so on and get this mailing information and send them out. The report should have your contact information prominently displayed and you
should follow-up 3-5 days after you have sent it in and ask what they thought of it.
Your aim here is to spark an
interest and create a job for yourself that bypasses the normal interview process. This allows you to show off your talents and increase the odds you at least
get an interview. Remember: the more quality interviews you have,
the better your chances of success.
Others have used this method
effectively where other methods have failed. Obviously results will
vary; however, this can be a great way for learning other information about the firms in your profession and
show off your work performance in a unique way.
